The weather was good so we decided to meet up for some photos and a chat.
This was the first GTROC meet I'd attended in the GTR. So much quality metal on display I couldn't help but be encouraged to up my game.

Last year TDi North posted a thread on the itrdc5 forum (www.itr-dc5.com) saying that they'd developed a turbo kit suitable for the EP3 and the DC5 Type R's. I got straight onto the phone to find out more. After not very much convincing I agreed to make the trip up north and go to see the guys in person. With the promise of a good nose around their facility, time for all my questions and a quick spin in Ben's EG it was an easy sell!
If you haven't seen Ben Smith's K20 converted, Turbocharged, EG Hatch... make sure you check it out on my channel:
After literally 2minutes of that first test drive in Ben's EG I knew that I not only wanted...but needed a turbo fitted to my car! If you haven't experienced it (Turbo Honda) ...It really is as good as everyone says! Haha
Back at the workshop the conversation started to get serious. After I'd exhausted all possible questions and my mind was put at ease the deal was done. TDi North agreed to use my car to develop the kit and offered a discount on the basis that I would document the whole process and turn it into a video.
The date was set, materials ordered and I went back on my merry way with a beeming smile on my face.
The time dragged waiting for the date to come round but eventually the day of the conversion came.
I was booked into a local hotel for a week while the conversion took place. During that week I went down to the workshop every day to document the whole process, film interviews, ask questions and generally and get in the way.
Hopefully that sets the scene for the video but if you have any more questions get in touch via social media.

Time: 6 -- 11pm

The Ace Cafe "Honda Culture & Friends" meet is a bit different to the norm as it offers a chance to see Honda's, VW's, Audi's, BMW's and more all side by side at London's best roadside cafe.
Same as last year, the sun came out early in the day but this year it stayed strong all day. For me, the meet started in Milton Keynes where we met at the old hockey stadium @ 16:45 and convoyed down to Ace Cafe.
By the time we arrived there was already a nice selection of metal on display. The first Ace Cafe "Honda Culture and Friends" meet last year had filled the car park but this year the venue was packed. We had twice as many cars on display inside the barrier and the streets surrounding Ace Cafe were also lined with modified cars
The footage was shot handheld on a Canon 60D DSLR using a stock 18-135mm zoom lens with a vari ND.
Shooting Format: 1280x720p - 50fps
Editing Format: Footage converted to 25fps for slowmo effect.
As promised we went back to players! Players 4.0 was the best show of 2010 for me and this year, player 5.0 did not disappoint check out the video and the write up on www.reelmotion.co.uk

A collection of JDM and UKDM Honda's VW's, Audi's and more at London's best roadside cafe. Ace Cafe was the host for the latest Honda Culture & Friends meet.
The day started out looking dry and bright and SMS were flying round about who was meeting who and at what time.
As I was cleaning the car it started raining in London, fortunately the rain passed quickly and I was able to finish up and set off for the meet with a gleaming car.
There were spots of rain on the way over but as soon as 5pm hit the sun came out and the cars started rolling in.
There was an awesome range of cars that turned up from the German and Japanese marque.
Since the last video i'd bought a couple of new toys for the dslr and they really helped with the filming. Fingers crossed the videos will get better as I get more used to filming with a Dslr and my range of equipment grows.
A collection of JDM and UKDM Honda's at the South Mimms meet, It was the hotest day in June +30degs, bright sunshine, short skirts and windows down, A reciepe for a good meet! Sure enough I was not dissapointed, hundreds of honda's turned up to what is fast becoming, the most popular Honda meet in the UK.
The guys at Endless Horizon got in touch to say they were running their Civic up at Shakespeare County Raceway on the 17 October 2010. The roomers were that they were hoping for a competitive time and had been to see Daz & Millsy at DNR Performance Engineering who currently hold the record for the UK's fastest street legal Honda.
