We were asked to record an event in the city that Quantify were sponsoring. The event was captured using 2x Sony EX1R cameras and during the breaks we recorded interviews with the attendees. Before the event we captured some B-Roll and then used all this footage to create a highlights video.
Edited in Final Cut Pro we blended, B-Roll, Presentations and Voxpops to create an overview of the event. To complete the video we added some copyright free music and upload the video to Quantify's Vimeo page.
For this video we gave the fund manager a flip cam and some basic training. They then took the camera with them on a research trip. When they returned we cut together the footage in the office and then arranged a shoot day to fill in the gaps of footage.
To enhance the piece we purchased stock footage and used B-Roll shot by the fund managers on the trip.
To finish off we added some animated graphics and production music
Filmed in the London office of Aberdeen Asset Managers, we interviewed the whole Latin American team. Once we had captured the interviews we headed back to the edit suite in order to assemble the narrative of the video. Once the narrative was complete we arranged a second day of filming to go back and capture some B-Roll of the team in their working environment.
We purchased stock footage to help tell the story and finally we added graphics and production music to complete the piece.
This video was shot in 1 day at the clients offices and edited over a series of days following.
Filmed using a RED ONE camera in ultra high definition we used a dolly and track to make the footage come alive. Adding motion to the shots adds increases the production values and helps to keep clients engaged in the content.
We shot a series of interviews during the filming day and between interviews we captured B-Roll of the office and the team.
Once we got back to the edit suite the footage was compiled using Final Cut Pro. The interviews and B-Roll were cut together then production music was added. The final stage was to add graphics using Adobe After Effects.
This video was recorded to give an overview of the Aberdeen Pan-European Equity Fund.
The video was used to promote the fund to third parties and via various investment platforms.
Shot using a Panasonic P2 camera, we interviewed each important stakeholders on the fund. We added B-Roll to enhance the interviews and used some licensed music to complete the piece.
The idea behind this job was to showcase the type of content that was discussed on the day.
This enabled the events and sales team to use the video as a promotional piece for sponsors and attendees the following year
The video was shot using a Panasonic AG-HVX200 and edited in Final Cut Pro.
We recorded a number of the presentations while they were happening and then conducted voxpops with the attendees during the coffee breaks.
Additionally we recorded some B-Roll on the day of the registration process, the venue, networking and the refreshments.
Once back in the edit suite we compiled the footage together and used copyright free music to help give energy to the final output.
Commissioned by M&G Investments to explain the uncertainty surrounding investments at that time. Filmed in the Gherkin using a RED ONE camera Dr Philippa Malmgren gave her update. To provide more interest and to increase the production values we use a dolly and track to slide left to right while filming.
Once filmed and back in the edit suite we used a mixture of B-Roll that we shot on the day combined with some stock footage that we purchased to help emphasise the points that were made in the video.
Edited in Final Cut Pro
This piece was commissioned to attract new graduates to the graduate program. We recorded a series of talking head interviews with current graduates that were on the program and asked them about there experiences. We mixed the interviews with B-roll of the office and the company signage. We were also fortunate enough to be able to reuse some footage that we already had from their international graduate scheme giving the final video a very rounded feel.
To finish the piece off we interviewed the CEO for his opinions on the graduate scheme which tied the piece together really nicely
Shot on Panasonic AG-HPX600 P2 Camcorder and edited using Final Cut. Music was licensed specifically for this video to help carry the piece along
Skandia Investment Group wanted to create a video advert that explained their new fund.
As the fund was a best ideas fund we wanted to show all of the managers that were involved in making the decisions.
We therefore booked interviews with each of the fund managers at their respective offices. This took us all over the UK and over to a few European cities as well.
We wanted to keep the look and feel of each interview the same so we opted for green screen.
Once all the footage was shot we compiled it all together in the edit suite and added a graphics pack to try and help demonstrate the power and diversity that this fund offered.
The video was used one the Skandia platform, their website and at various events whilst on the fund roadshow. The content was also syndicated through various other platforms to help increase awareness and understanding of the fund, its performance and its objectives.
Shot on Sony Z1 camera and edited in Final Cut Pro. Graphics / Animations were produced in Adobe After Effects
This piece was shot across a variety of different locations, rather than travelling globally we sourced local crews to shoot interviews and then got them to send all the footage back over to the UK to edit here. The video uses a mixture of talking heads, and Broll, we purchased a lot of stock footage for this piece to enhance the production levels.
Edited using FCP7, shot on a variety of different cameras in different locations
Alanna Petroff - Morningstar Journalist wanted to create a piece of content that would educate the Morningstar readers about pension basics. The incentive was to try and provide some awareness around how much you "should" be saving for retirement.
The video recorded in a variety of locations close to the Morningstar head offices in London.
We recorded a couple of segments direct to the camera and then found some people to do a few voxpops with.
Once we had captured all we needed it was back to the edit suite to assemble the piece into one continuous narrative. To complete the video we created some simple graphics to help simplify the message.
The content was shot using a Panasonic AG-HVX200 and edited in final cut pro. The final piece was hosted on the Morningstar news server and published on the Morningstar news website.
Morningstar hosted their annually investment conference in Vienna and the events department wanted to capture a flavour of the day.
Traveled out the day before, met the local team at the venue upon arrival and did a recce to make sure we hit the ground running the next day.
Spent the night in a hotel then arrived at the venue first thing to capture the whole day.
Registration, networking, presentations, and refreshments
Once back in the edit suite we cut the footage to a piece of copyright free music to keep the costs low and hosted the video on the external server. This allowed the events team to share the video externally.
Shot using a Panasonic AG-HVX200 P2 HD camcorder & edited using Final Cut Pro 7.0
During the conference we also had to capture a selection of interviews. Above is an example of what we managed to capture. This is Valerio Baselli (Morningstar Italy) interviewing Edward Hugh, one of the chosen speakers at the event
As the budget was tight we only had one camera so we had to film in a "mock 2 camera style". The answers were recorded first and then we quickly reset and captured the questions before letting the interviewee get back to the conference.
We re-used some of the B-Roll shot on the day to enhance the interview. This allowed us to edit the video as if it was a continuous 2x camera shoot.
Morningstar building management wanted a quick video created to show the staff the correct route to take in the event of a fire (or fire drill)
We decided that the best way to show this was to create a quick video showing the route.
The video included a simple graphic at the start, we then got a member of staff to simulate the safest route to exit the building while we filmed.
The video was compiled in FCP7 and hosted on the company intranet
This event was first thing in the morning and ran until midday. After the event the footage was captured and then compiled to suit the brief.
This is an example of a very simple product demo that was created for Morningstar OBSR
Using a pre-produced script as a guide and screen capture software to record the "onscreen" activitey, the video was then compiled in FCP7. A voice over track was recorded and added to the edit and then the video was exported and hosted on the "Help" section of the website.
